The Highball - Fancy a Drink

The Highball

The Highball gets its name from late 1900s bar slang where “ball” meant glass and “high” meant tall. Throw in some Scotch and some soda into a high ball and the Highball was born.

 

Ingredients

Bourbon                      2 ounces

Ginger ale                   4 ounces

Club soda                    4 ounces

Lemon wedge

 

Directions
  1. Combine Bourbon, Ginger Ale and Club Soda in a shaker.
  2. Shake vigorously.
  3. Add ice to Highball glass.
  4. Pour shaken contents over ice into Highball.
  5. Garnish with a Lemon wedge.
